Release notes 2026
March, 2026
Streamline the defect reporting process and customize GISGRO to meet your needs
You can now ensure that reported defects are not left hanging without persons in charge by appointing a default supervisor and speed up the filling of information by setting the user who logged the defect as an observer by default. There was also a lot of general improvements, such as the ability to set a user-specific view that opens after logging in and optimisation for attachments added in the mobile version for more efficient adding of information from the field. On the vessel traffic side, we made it possible to temporarily freeze the reservation rights of Community users and customise the visualisation of the calendar's reservation and port call data.
Digital twin
- Chat in a new location: You can find our customer support chat now in the navigation panel on the left!
- **Default view after login: **Determine the view you get directed to when logging in via user settings! For example, if you use GISGRO mainly to manage berth reservations, you can choose this as the default view.
- **Attribute support for point clouds: **Point clouds in .las/.laz format can now be uploaded with attributes. You can also determine colouring for attribute layers per each segment.
- Optimise image files on mobile: To make it easier to add assets and issues from the field with attachments, an optimized version of the images is now added by default. If you want to add the images as original files, you can tap the SD icon shown and it will switch to HD version!
Maintenance
- Defect ID shown: The ID number that is unique for each defect is now displayed among other information and can also be used to search for a specific defect. ID is also included in email notifications related to defects!
- Set the author as default observer: If the same people who notice new defects in the field also report them to GISGRO, you can set the author to be automatically filled in as the observer via general section under defect management.
- Assign a default supervisor to defects without tags: You can ensure that no defect is left without a supervisor by adding a default supervisor! The default supervisor gets set for the defect if there has been no supervisor assigned or tags selected with a preset supervisor while reporting the issue.
Community & Vessel traffic
- Block the agent organisation's access to reservations: The agent organisation's booking permission and the ability to edit existing reservations can be suspended if needed. Open the contact details of the representative of the agent organisation and select "Block" from the offered actions.
- 3-month view selectable: In the calendar, you can now view an even longer period by selecting three months from the drop-down options.
- Define the color of the ships in the calendar according to type: It is possible to define colors for vessel types and thus you can get an idea of what kind of vessels the reservations and port calls are for just by looking at the calendar.

Import data directly into GISGRO from Excel and create private views for your work
You can now import assets, defects and port calls into GISGRO from .xls or .csv files, allowing you to create multiple entries at once! We have also improved our table views. You can now save a bookmark containing your selected information and filters as private, so it will not be visible to other users.
The Maintenance and Vessel Traffic modules have also received improvements. Maintenance plan information can now be managed in a new table view instead of a list, while vessel services can be customised in greater detail to suit your needs.
Digital twin
- Manage login sessions: Admin users can now view and manage active login sessions in a dedicated view under User management! If the maximum number of simultaneous users included in your licence is about to be reached, an admin can log users out to free up space.
- Private bookmarks: You can now create bookmarks for your own use only! If a view with selected information and filters is mainly useful to you, you can save it as a private bookmark so that it will not be visible to other users.
- Import assets from Excel: You can now import assets into your account from .xlsx or .csv files! To ensure a successful import, the file must contain the location coordinates of each asset. Read more in our Helpdesk!
- Automatic numbering for contacts: When billing details are added to a contact, the next available customer number will now be assigned automatically. You can, of course, also edit the number if needed.
Maintenance and Health & Safety
- Table views for maintenance plans: You can now view the details of maintenance plans and individual inspections in their own tables! The tables allow you to display even more information, such as the recurrence period and inspector, and use these details as filters to find exactly the content you are interested in.
- Email notification about comments to defect assignees: Comments added to defects will no longer go unnoticed, as the assignee will now receive an email notification about them!
- Import defects from Excel: You can now import defects into your account from .xlsx or .csv files! To import the defects successfully, the file must contain location information in the form of coordinates or, alternatively, the name of a linked asset, in which case the asset’s location will be used. Please note that all imported defects will have the status Open. Read more in our Helpdesk!
Contracts
- Create number series: You can now create different number series for contracts using your preferred format and optional prefixes. When adding a contract, you can select the series from which the next available contract number will be assigned.
Community & Vessel traffic
Import port calls: You can now import port calls into your account from .xlsx or .csv files! To ensure a successful import, please make sure that the file contains the following required information: vessel name or IMO number, ETA, ETD and berth.
- See who updated a reservation’s status and when: Check when and by whom a reservation’s status was updated using the Last state update and Last state update by fields in the table view!
- Pre-order vessel services for both arrival and departure: A vessel service type can now be set for both arrival and departure when the service is needed during both stages of a vessel’s visit. When this type of service is pre-ordered for a reservation, it will be added to the port call for both arrival and departure.
- New icons for service types: Several new icons have been added for vessel service types, including a forklift, a supervisor and an empty truck!
*This feature below is not automatically active on your digital twin. If you are interested in this, please contact support@gisgro.com!.
- *Berth blocking: Selected berths can now be marked as unavailable for a specified period, preventing reservations from being made for them. You can also add further details in the description field to let stakeholders know why the area is unavailable!
