Locations

Overview

Locations help you with grouping & searching your data - datasets, assets, notes, defects, incidents and 360 photos. It's easy to use - you just need to define an area and give a name to it, after that all data in that area will automatically get location information.

Add location

This action is available only for admins or users with permission to locations

Locations can be added via organisation settings. You can either import or add a new location by clicking on actions in the upper right corner.

Give a name for the location, this will be visible to all users
Define an area on the map by drawing or setting from the current view, or just place the imported location
You can set the area as a default, by clicking Set as default, the default area has a star -icon after its name. This is the area, where organisation users will be focused when opening GISGRO.

Import locations

Locations can be imported from the upload panel as DXF files. Go to the upload panel on the right side and choose Locations. Click the Upload button or drag and drop files on the map.

Assets, notes, defects, incidents, datasets and 360 photos

After you have added a new location, the location information will be automatically added to all data inside the location. If there are multiple locations overlapping, all the locations will be added.

You can also search all data, based on location
